About the download

Installing the trial

To install the Home Inventory Pro 2011 trial on your computer, please try the following:

  1. Double-click on the downloaded file (HIPSETUP10.EXE) to install Home Inventory Pro 2011.
  2. To run Home Inventory Pro, click on your Windows Start menu, click on Programs, then click on Home Inventory Pro, and then click on Home Inventory Pro 2011.

What do I do when I am ready to buy?

When you are ready to buy a Home Inventory Pro license you don't need to install or reinstall anything if you already have the trial on your computer.

  1. Purchase a Home Inventory Pro 2011 license.
  2. If you choose "Downloadable" as your shipping method you will receive your license via e-mail within one business day. If you choose any other shipping method (e.g. USPS, Fedex, etc.) you will still receive your license via e-mail within one business day but you will also receive a Home Inventory Pro CD with your license. CD delivery times will vary depending on the shipping method chosen.
  3. When you receive your license, you do not need to uninstall or reinstall Home Inventory Pro. Simply run your Home Inventory Pro trial and click the Register button when the Welcome to Home Inventory Pro window opens.
  4. Home Inventory Pro's registration wizard will ask you to enter your Home Inventory Pro 2011 license.
  5. Once you have completed the registration process your copy of Home Inventory Pro will be fully registered and all features will be enabled.

Trial FAQ

What happens to the data I have entered if I let my trial expire?

Nothing. Your data is still there. You will be able to access your inventory data again as soon as you register your copy of Home Inventory Pro.

Are any features disabled during the trial?

Yes, just two. You can't restore a backup file and you can't export inventory data files.

When I buy the full version of Home Inventory Pro will I lose the data that I entered during the trial

No. When you receive your Home Inventory Pro license just register Home Inventory Pro and you will be able to access your inventory data. There is no need to uninstall or reinstall anything.
